THE MUSIC

Our Founder Zenneth Nevers started making music for charity in 2010.

His first song was ‘Cause I had you’. The song was based off of his struggle to pay a house mortgage, car payments, etc. while trying to maintain a healthy relationship with his wife and kids. Ultimately it led to a divorce and him and his 2 kids ending up homeless. Thankfully today Zenneth and his two children are no longer homeless. The proceeds to this song go towards helping Homeless children.

'Sippy Cup'. This song was inspired by a child’s attempt to cheer an adult up. And the curiosity of, ‘what if’, what if this small gesture could reach full circle? The proceeds to this song go towards children that have been diagnosed with a terminal illness.

‘Sad Ending’. It’s based off of his High School/first Love. And thru imagination plays with the idea of again what if they did not end with a sad ending, and instead ended up together. However the line, “when we lost Destiny” is referring to the loss of his first child. Her name was going to be, Destiny. The child did not go full term due to Cerebral Palsy and that led to the failure of that relationship. Zenneth however instead when writing this song decided to instead focus on young love and the beauty and innocence of it.

‘Your turn to Cry’. This fun spirited song is obviously about heartbreak redemption and love karma, but it also has a more serious underlining message which is the never seen before troubles that relationships have to overcome these days due to technology. This song also features the voices of his 2 toddlers singing faintly in the background, “na na na na boo boo”.

‘The Lit Window’. Is written for people who have ever had to struggle with drugs and/or alcohol. The song has a 2 sided message as it also points out the enabler and the struggle that the addicts love one also has. And how she also suffers from addiction, the addiction to want to fix the addict.

‘Change’. His goal is to have this song be the spirit of the Nevers Foundation. Which is Love, and helping others. The song is about a brush with a homeless person changes his life. And he decides he is going to change so that he can change the world.
